Franco Escamilla – the singer and comedian whose fierce, biting humor has earned him the nickname El Amo del Sarcasmo (The Master of Sarcasm) – is making his debut performance at Reno's Grand Theatre.
Born in Cuautla, Mexico, Escamilla studied at the Monterrey College of Music and Dance before embarking on a career in comedy. Building a loyal audience on his YouTube channel, soon he was hosting a comedy chat show, recording an album, and appearing in his own Comedy Central special.
Drawing from real-life experiences, Escamilla's hilarious observations of the people and world around him always hit their mark. Don't miss the one and only Franco Escamilla at Grand Sierra Resort.

For you action lovers, there's the National Air Races in Stead, 11-15 September.
I have a few ideas - late night during the new moon, stargazing with a client through some nice 'scopes. See the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. If it's REAL clear, you can even see a few deep sky objects. Crab Nebula among others.
Another would be some trout fishing, either in the river, or in Hobart Reservoir, above Carson City. Fish ON!!!
Another would be the Reno Barbecue festival, especially if Delbert McClinton is playing. He ain't getting any younger (79 in November) and you will want to die if you never see him. 78 and the motherfucker still delivers.
