I've met at least a couple ladies at the ranch that like to use coconut oil (or other "natural" oils) as lube to make things more fun. (and it does smell delicious). However, I just read that such oils (even if they are natural) tend to deteriorate latex and can cause tiny perforations in condoms. Should we suggest not to promote the use of such oils during parties?
Not trying to fingerpoint anyone here (therefore won't mention the names of the beautiful ladies as I know they never intended to use the oil with any bad intentions).
It ought be be good as a lubricant. It sure isn't any good as a weight loss supplement.
It's safe on polyurethane condoms not latex or polyisoprene condoms. Polyurethane condoms are sometimes used by latex sensitive people.

correct...
the challenge here is that the vast majority of condoms provided for parties (if not all) are Latex...
so probably safer to advice the ladies to not use those type of Oils as lubes, and only use water based lubes (i.e. KY, Astroglide, DurexPlay, etc) which are easily available in most pharmacies/retailers

That's odd, my Tele and my Strat are both finished in polyurethane. VERY thin. Can it be as sensitive as latex?
It is a good lube. I don't use it at work though.
I second the point that it works great as a lube (it's very often used by porn stars and on porn sets) but only in the case when latex condoms aren't used. Don't risk breaking down the barrier!!
I wouldn't use it at work. I've heard baby oil is another one some girls like to use. But I just use a hybrid mix of oil and water based lube that's safe for latex condoms. I don't like just water based lube... it's too sticky.
I was watching the "Today" show a little earlier this morning. Hoda Kotbe & Maria Shriver were talking about feminine hygiene with a guest gynecologist. The doctor said that coconut oil was a big no-no, using it can lead to infections. You should never use food oils as a lube. She said water based lubes are OK but can actually dry out a vagina so women need to be careful when using them. She said silicone based lubes are best.

I know a lady that used Baby oil and it didn't go well for me.
I've used coconut oil before as lube and it works great if you don't have anything else nearby!
grapeseed oil is a good sex lubricant too

You can get "high mileage" out of this.

Ya just gotta be careful it doesn't start "dieseling" if that piston gets over-driven. :o

I love the Kamasutra Lube they gave me in my welcome newbie box, it's the exact same as the bottle that I brought!
Coconut oil can be a great lube but I wouldn't use it with condoms. I love putting a TBSP in my bath water because my skin gets so dry in the desert.
When I worked at a porn store, we would reccomend silicone lube, and I definitely think it's the best for anal. The unflavored, unscented waterbased are my favorite for vaginal, but sometimes the glycerin can cause yeast infections.

Maybe synthetic?
Wow, you guys posted some very great information! I have been trying out different lubes myself. I love the water based lube we have here at the ranch. I think it's KYD and I like it better than Sliquid! It's amazing what a difference a good lube can make! And it's so important!
I would never use coconut or baby oil at work. I don't really like using those in my personal life.
Honestly, if you speak to me right, no lube is needed anyway. 😏
All Oils break down latex! If a lady is using oils for lube please notify Tara and/or myself!
Thank you
Jennifer
I watch a show, Grace and Frankie, where they make yam lube. It's supposed to be the best, hypothetically. I would be interested in trying it in my personal life.
