Title: The Community
Post by: RachelVarga on Aug 02, 2020, 03:35 AM
I just wanted to say that this pandemic is hard on us and on many of you. I am happy to see that people are still posting and viewing the posts. It's a small community but one that is unique to any other in America. Boredom and depression can sink in and really get to you, so if either of those happen to you then you can always come here!

I know some of you only come here and not the other forums so I'll try to come and post here more.

sorry hun, most of the 'community' has left the building and no one turned off the lights. After a dozen days go by and no one says anything, no one posts any pictures, stories or poses any questions, people stop checking the forum. This spring, the Ladies left the house, so the 'community' left the forum.  For the most part we are guys, and you know how easy it is to distract us...

Participation on this forum has waxed and waned for years for a multitude of reasons;
New ladies would come on and posts would perk up for awhile but soon the ladies discovered that participation here wasn't the best return for their advertising effort. Lady participation drove conversations.
The outlets for advertisement and communications are more numerous and instantaneous now and most followers have moved to those forms of interaction.

But mostly right now, many members have other things on their minds. True, those things are causing isolation, boredom and depression, but the house is closed, and will be for the foreseeable future, and that really limits the range of conversation on a brothel discussion forum, there just isn't lot to say.

We might do better with a 'roll call and general check up on members', or 'how is the weather where you are?'

I'm still here, and appreciate Rachel's and Tom's efforts to keep us together. Better days are coming.
The weather in Monterey is HOT today, which is unusual.

Lol yeah not even 2 full days after I said it was cooler than average for August here we started a heat wave which is supposed to last at least through Sunday. Today's prediction was 109 here. You are about 2 hours from me giving or take. So I Jinxed it sorry.🤣🤣

I hear you Ironman, it is bloody hot here in the central valley today, but the news says it was going to be hot form the Mississippi all the way to the Pacific this week.. the heat wave comes around every year, sometimes it it longer than other times and sometimes it is just for a week or so,  and everyone whines, but it will pass just like a lot of other things.

Ironman, I am sure by now if you hear one one 'hang in there' comment you are going to lose it and you will not be responsible for the fallout.... but it is good to hear you are still kicking.  I am thinking of you, and all the other people in similar straits. This situation will eventually pass, or we will adapt, that's how humans have been so successful, we adapt.

Thanks Tom.yes I have a lot of issues at the moment but no more than a lot of other people, and I know there are many people much worse off then me.

Just taking it one day at a time. A little that kind fits in a metaphorical way how F ed up the world is right now for most people.  Event though it was written many moons ago at this point.

It's true. No one uses the forums. I get asked a lot about how to get seen and I always say to use the forums. Most don't and I just don't get it. I have gotten a ton of business. I gave up a long time ago. If I'm the only one and it's the Rachel show that's fine with me.

In BL I barely did any listing for a long time because I didn't want it to be about me but if it's the Rachel show there then so be it.

Forums are just not used much any more. In the Internet world forums are ancient. Even when business is good. I want to change to a new style but is it even worth it?

I meant a new style of forum type.

I could never change how I am. Nor would I if I could. Part of my success is being me.

I could write a whole book on what to do right and what to do wrong as a courtesan.

One of my alter egos, Brain, has attempted several times to 'take over the world' using this forum, but he started too late, so many influential,world leading fans of the Mustang Ranch had stopped checking the forum because use and conversation traffic had fallen off.
so Brain never got a chance to use his superior mental and physic powers on them and cause them to fall under his spell to do his bidding;
     and then when traffic would perk up because some Lady would post some pictures and all the faithful readers would flock to her posts; Brain discovered that IT at the lab he and Pinky are living at had blocked all internet access  >:(

but never fear, Brain still thinks that this backwater of the internet is the perfect place to launch his next attempt to take over the world and he will be back....

I could have used some 'community' last week, i got kind of low and wanted some company, so usually i would have in the past loaded up Silver and gone to see my friends at the Mustang, but that was out..  and so was some support on the forum, but as has been pointed out there isn't much social interaction here any more;

so i had to solve it like i have for the last few months; some philosophical self talk and an over-application of ale got me through it... I think a lot of people have been doing it that way this year, so for your own sake, check on your friends, reach out to acquaintances, get some sort of social interaction, you will feel better, trust me on that, we can't do it all alone...

I love tootsie pops.  I wonder how many licks it takes to get to the center.
