Being from the midwest (michigan) I had only felt one very minor tremble, until today. Just had a 5.4 rumble through. Window blinds swaying, my chair felt like I was on a boat. Found it rather unsettling. Oh well now I can cross earthquake off my bucket list.
Been there, done that...
Earthquakes are a spooky thing to experience. I was walking down the right side of a hallway when I looked up & noticed the light fixtures were swaying. When I looked back down I was on the left side of the hallway. I'd moved a distance of six feet left without any effort on my part... made my hair stand on end.
I can't imagine the terror of those folks in Nepal & Tibet whose worlds has been devastated by those massive temblors.
