Title: Booklist
Post by: Velvet on Feb 01, 2020, 02:37 PM
Hi Everyone! I'm curious about books you've read or are reading about the sex industry. I'm reading this awesome book called 'The Book of the Courtesans' by Susan Griffin, and it's about courtesans from the renaissance into the 20th century.

Have you read any great sex books or historical books like this one lately?

This book is in my courtesan library as well, and it talks about all forms of sexual healing as a job. (https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/a2/c1/zDCPc80f_t.png)

Brothel:  Mustang Ranch and it's women by Alexa Albert       This is a well written inside look at the MR before its closing in the early 2000's.

There's one written by a madam from Sheri's as well.  I'll get the name and author.

Madam: Inside A Nevada Brothel by Lara Shaner     This is the one written by a former madam at Sheris.  It was published in 1998.  It seemed a little "fictiony" to me.  Some of the crazy stories seemed a bit over the top.

yes! I also picked up the book 'Brothel; Mustang Ranch and it's women' by Alexa Albert.

I love learning the history of this place and being a part of this ❤️

I learned from Dalia in the Office (Since I have yet to read this book) that it ends right when an unknown buyer purchases the original Mustang and moves it to an exit near by!

When is the next edition coming out?
