I have a few ideas - late night during the new moon, stargazing with a client through some nice 'scopes. See the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. If it's REAL clear, you can even see a few deep sky objects. Crab Nebula among others.

Another would be some trout fishing, either in the river, or in Hobart Reservoir, above Carson City. Fish ON!!!

Another would be the Reno Barbecue festival, especially if Delbert McClinton is playing. He ain't getting any younger (79 in November) and you will want to die if you never see him. 78 and the motherfucker still delivers.
