Nikola Tesla was a superrr famous inventor, engineer, and just genius man who basically founded our modern day alternating electrical systems, during the late 1800s! This is who Elon Musk (the inventor of Tesla motors) named his electric car company after. Thomas Edison was also a famous inventor/ engineer of the time, who helped to invent many important things we use today, such as the lightbulb I believe! He’s credited and known to be America’s greatest inventor. But like Mikey said, perhaps he stole a lot of ideas that originally belonged to Tesla!!

To explain, Tesla worked in Edison's laboratory and it's popular belief that Edison "stole" some of his ideas and inventions.
