The Void
Her graceful shape, a study of devine contrast, deepest shadow and brilliant light,
Angelic she sits, bathing in glow that encircles her, gracefully painting unmeasurable sweetness,
Euphoric joy so intoxicating, eyes strain not to blink nor stray..
Yet, I dare not move, inwardly I fear the seconds passing ,
This devine vision of my soul's ultimate elation will wane, melting to memory .
Memory of unspeakable aching emptiness within after this time has flown.
Her smiling decending glance, silken hair, beckoning skin, gleaming eyes.
She seeks, she asks, reaching, deeper and deeper, cutting within, entwining herself to my soul as if to revive. .
Faint soft breath now rising, now nearing, rapid whispers, each a promising urgent breath,
Her release, a stunning masterpiece, a fresco in hues of deepest passions, .
"She desires",.. "she wants",.. "she cares" .Each illusion so gracefully portrayed, so lovingly given,..
Against this harsh reality,... I desperately grasp, longing to believe;
Heavenly long sensual warm embrace, slowly she turns to the door completing her act's final illusion..
The stage curtain slowy closes behind her. Fingers gently glide down my chest until, one last upward glance. alas, her open hand releases.
Turning away, dimming light surrounds again. I submerge back into the winter-llke dark and emptiness
Can my soul again face this baren empty void?
Can this spirit survive another lonely desert?
Will she be here at the end?
Does she even know?
Gave me goosebumps reading this poem
"Suffer not your loneliness, nor worry, dread or fret,
Far greater suffer those forgotten, by those they can't forget."
