So there are moments when the conversation can get awkward when meeting someone new. So my question is how to avoid the awkwardness and start a fun conversation or change the direction of the conversation to make it less awkward? Make sense?
I am a shy person but have never had a problem talking to a lady. There are some ladies that I think are out of my league that I have never talked to.
what are your hobbies or what do you like most to do.......???????
I always just ask a million and twenty questions about the other person that I genuinely am interested in knowing the answer to.

Lol usually during rose awkward silent moments I like to be goofy and say .... "....Sssooooo what's your favorite color and what do you want to be when you grow up😃😄?" ;D

I normally just start off by asking them what all do they like to do for fun and then that normally brings up other random fun topics to talk about!
I just embrace the awkwardness, and usually end up saying something silly, which I find tends to relax the gentleman that I'm talking too. I've heard from shy guys that pretty women can intimidate them, so I just like to be myself and be silly and put the stress at ease.
I'd say I also ask a lot of questions and try to find common interests and experiences we share to expand upon.

For me, it all depends on the vibes between myself and the other person. I always ask how someone is doing and introduce myself and after that it highly varies! I love meeting new people, and every new friendship is different so I ask whatever I feel like asking whenever I meet a new person. I always like to be real and authentic with everyone. 🙂
